Parcours for the Future: Project Meeting in Genoa

From May 30-31, we organized the second in-person project meeting in Genoa, Italy. After several months of online collaboration, we had the chance to meet in person and continue our co-design and co-development of the parcours, as well as discuss the digital versions of the next steps and activities of the project.

During the meeting, partners presented several innovative ideas and prototypes of the parcour stations. The parcours focused on enhancing green and digital skills and promoting sustainability values among young people. The stations ranged from building eco-superheroes to repairing items, playing card games, and simulating ethical food choices, among others. The stations were tested and evaluated by all project partners, aiming to improve their gamification, user and learning experience for young people.

The team also visited the "Accademia Marina Mercantile" one of the best VET centers in Italy and Europe. This visit provided insights into the Italian school system and non-formal education. Partners had the opportunity to use the school's simulators and speak with the students about their career choices and the skills necessary for the developing shipping industry.
